Update! mega update, life changes

Ok so don't send out the search party just yet, I haven't gone missing I am still here but things have changed well a lot has stayed the same but a lot has changed.

I'm slightly older still no wiser 😀

My hair has changed numerous times in my absence –

^^^ most recent snap aiming for silver grey hair currently
I went to the Nurburgring and I have another trip planned in August it's amazing –
One of the best experiences in my life I can't wait to go back!
I still collect I still go to bootsales- my collecting may have even got out of hand slightly ekkkk. Currently at the 800 mark for games and consoles who knows! I will update about some key buys soon.
Maybe the biggest change in my life is my change of career, after years and years of sales positions I left my job as a recruitment consultant in September and embraced a complete career change.
I am now a crane operator!! Tower crane, crawler crane, pedestrian crane I can do them all! I have completed my time at college and am currently working in my company's yard in order to achieve my blue CPCS tickets.
So why?? Well the main reason was I needed a change I no longer enjoyed what I was doing and had not for a very long time. I never dreamed in a million years I would be offered an apprentiship with a top company especially at my age, I thought opportunities like this were reserved for teenagers.
Please don't get me wrong it was a huge leap for me and a huge change but what did I have to lose? Why shouldn't a woman drive a crane? Why can't I be as good as the men on building sites. If anything I believe I try harder, maybe I feel I have more to prove?
So far so good all tests passed first time and I'm actually very good although unsure if I prefer crawlers or towers yet, hopefully I will get my tickets under my belt soon and head out to site ASAP.
Some snaps of what I have been up to-
It has been an amazing experience and I am so so glad I grew some and grabbed the change and the opportunity with both hands. I also have a few more tickets banksman, ipaf, slinger signaller I'm a well rounded woman in construction 😀
Ohhhhhhh and I have new fish –
A dirty trainer habit I try not to talk about and a growing comic collection.
Thanks for stopping by, Katie xx

My assassins creed piece for E3 UPlay competition

In order to enter this comp I needed to create an individual piece of fan art, I based my piece around an old marvel comic.

I had it scanned in for the competetion, this was the final outcome

Have you seen my Amiga CD32 yet????

I received an odd phone all from my dad one day at work something along the lines of 'I've seen a console in the charity shop CD something not sure what it was'

Ermmmm ok well can you go back and look at it properly dad it might be something cool.

Anyway after a short walk back the charity shop and a phone call he picked me up what I believe is a new Amiga CD32 not one scratch, the stickers still on and it smells new. Ok the box is buggered but honestly I can't believe the console is anything but new, there are no cable scratches, no console marks it's an odd one.

The console cost a total of £10 bargain!!

I shortly picked up 5 games for a total of £25, awesome little console never considered buying one before but now I can't imagine parting with it.

I wanted a Z4M coupe for donkeys but always thought they were slightly unobtainable for me, thankfully things have change I'm still a broke asssss chick but you only get one chance at best at these things. So make it happen while you can.

Anyway here she is in all her glory, I said to myself if I was going to spec one from new this is exactly how it would look

U92 (ECE-spec, RHD): 1,052 produced from 04/2006 through 06/2008 limited numbers and only around 50+ of these were imola and in the UK

Sorry about the bad photos these are only taken on my phone, I will get the SLR out soon especially when I start doing stuff to her.

I'm so excited about what the future holds this car really puts a smile on my face and makes me excited about the up coming year.

2013 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2013 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 4,200 times in 2013. If it were a NYC subway train, it would take about 4 trips to carry that many people.
